Welcome and thank you for arriving here today. My name is Ana Gak.

I work as a Mental Health Coach for a leading online behavioral health company, offering blended-care coaching to employees of companies including Facebook, Pinterest, Starbucks, eBay, Morgan Stanley, Lululemon and Zoom.

At Alchemy of Polarity, I weave behavioral science and positive psychology together with astrology and energetics to create my private practice of transformational coaching.

I initiated this offering into service in early 2020, but my metamorphosis journey began in 2011 when I moved to the jungles of North Shore, Maui, Hawai’i, marking the beginning of what I like to refer to as my initiation into “Spirit School.” I was lucky enough to call the slopes of Haleakala volcano my home-base until 2021. I journeyed across the world and back again three times before finally relocating to vibrant Miami Beach, Florida.

Born and raised in New York City to immigrant parents, I had a dynamic upbringing straddling languages, cultures, and the Atlantic ocean. I earned my Bachelor’s of Science in Journalism at Boston University, after which I moved to the Central Pacific coast of Costa Rica to teach English with TEFL International. In 2013, I sat 20 days of silent meditation in Vipassana centers in Sonoma County, California and Bogota, Colombia. In 2014, I completed a RYT-200 Akhanda Yoga training with Yogrishi Vishvketu at Anand Prakash Ashram in Rishikesh, India.

I have been fortunate to participate in numerous plant and entheogenic medicine ceremonies in Hawai’i and Mexico, and discover the joy of opening the heart with cacao in Ecuador while volunteering at a horse farm in the Andean cloud forest. I continue to work with the spirit of cacao in my regular practice; grounding, softening, and connecting with community. My curiosity for indigenous rituals and traditions sparked whilst living with the Boruca tribe in Costa Rica in 2009, leading to the completion of a Master’s of Science in Visual Anthropology and Sociology at Freie Universitaet Berlin in 2018. I received my training in coaching with Wellcoaches, becoming an ICF-certified Health and Wellness Coach in 2020.

Many dark nights of the soul and personal (r)evolutions throughout, integrating life lessons with studies, I found my professional place within the mental health and wellness community. Despite working with evidence-based, science-backed techniques for the bulk of sessions I hold day-to-day, astrology and energetics have been foundational components of my own shadow integration process. I have studied astrology for nearly two decades, learning from Kay Taylor, Steven Forrest, Pati Carlson, and Molly McCord.

Journeying on a personal path of soul reclamation, I learned that alchemy— or transformational union— of (polarity) shadow and light, is a doorway into personal power, creative energy and manifestation of dreams. I am here to share my path and hold a flame for you as you navigate your own.

Together we reflect one another’s light as well as help uncover wounds that beg compassionate attention for healing.
